A Warm Day

Ready drop: release
No-one, knows, it's coming
All, live on borrowed time
No-one predicts, the envevitable crying
Soon to be a loud as a tank, then as quiet as a mime

Detonation confirmed

Flash, here one second, next a scattered pile of ashes
The clean up, has begun
carrying scorched bodies of the victims
awkwardly to the body bags that lie there un-

Nice lads, time for this damn battle to end

Named soon to be tagged later
by their traumatised parents, husbands, wifes, children....
We sit, with the not-knowing approaching
slowly but surely, and it could, be happening at this very moment...

Never forget this day men,Hiroshima will never be forgotten, but you must be...
