I don't really know what to say about this one. It's just something I penned, back in '04.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, what is it our future holds?
Warmth, health, and happiness, or a painful death out in the cold?
I wonder and rhyme,
Is it all a waste of time?
No, not as long as I have the memories…
I’ll always keep my memories.
If we should part,
I know the tears would start,
But I promise I’ll always remember,
Always and forever.
I won’t let my heart forget;
The good or the bad.
I’ll take my happy and my sad.
But remember, I must, always and forever,
Even though you’ve told me we can’t be together.
Someone once told me not too long ago,
The stars are the souls
Of the forgotten.
Who am I to commit anyone to that?
No, I won’t let me;
Never, not ever.
Forgetting is the cruelest thing one can do,
And I can not do
It to them, nor to me.
It is the only chance for us all to be free.
And so I’ll remember,
Forever and ever,
Always remember,
I’ll remember you better.
