sit at my piano .
push the stool back .
relax .
you find your music , you lick your finqers && turn the paqe
you smile as you come up on the sonqs you like , yho turn && question--
waht would the audience like to hear today ?
you hear a giggle , the only one in the audience is me .
you wink your eye && turn back around -- waiting on my reply .
i place my finqer on my plump lips .. " play .. one last kiss "
you nod your head as lift the board on the piano .
legs spread appropriately , eyes focused on the music
you place your foot on the pedal , eyeing the song as if you were used to it .
this song is tricky .. many notes that are hard to hit .
you smile to yourself , knowing that you can conquer this .
a simple ritual , to slide your fingers frum one side to the other
you enjoy hearinq the higher notes and then the low ones .
you do your drill , do re me .. fa so .. la ti do .
i do my drill , one two three .. ready ... set .. go ...
" if this is too much for you , dont hesitate to let me know "
" boy .. shut your mouth .. i always enjoy the show "
you smile now , your ego has had its pump .
you tap the middle c ,
a soft sound goes throughout the room as you begin to form a melody
stroking && pressing , qripping && carressing ... the keys i mean .
three finqers , c , g , f .
foot on the pedal aqain , the sound is blissful , no stress
unless you mean on the note , that is .
the moan from the piano cried out beauty , no sadness .
the song was enticing , slow wind , intoxicating ..
the chord you formed by those three fingers made me shiver ,
i beqan to beg for more .
" PLAY THE D CHORD ! "
i yelled as your fingers went to the right side , the high side .
every note was just right , every melody -- so tight
&& then you surprised me by switching to the left side
the piano bellowed in a low voice , a c-chord , all echoes .
i begged you too keep playing , you begged me too keep staying ,
your concerts , your symphonies , there was never any complaining .
i began to sing the song for you , low at first .
you turned to me and opened up your mouth , freeing a verse
i started low voiced , alto to be specific ,
you were low as well , tenor -- if you missed it .
your finger struck the right side again , the last key -- slow
my eyes widened as it felt like i forqot everything i know
the bellows from the piano , the tenors and my altos ,
until the last strike of the keys .. the right side the high side ,
&& i sung in my falsetto ...
while you were still a tenor , i became a soprano
