I was a lonely guy, lived alone and wasn't that quite good with women... I have to go to work Monday-Friday, where I come to find my boss, who ignores me half the time I talk to him. Ugh, it was time to go to sleep, so I went to sleep alone, again... like usual. I got up earlier than my alarm and got ready to go to work. I got to work with a rude greeting from my boss... not surprising to me.

Finally, the work day was almost over and I was ready to go home. My legs were tired from walking around all day and my back was aching from lifting boxes... 5:00 PM, my watch's alarm goes off. Its time to go home. I grab my stuff and tell my boss i'm going home. He doesn't reply... His usual stuffy attitude. I walk through the automatic doors, but cant help having a little fun with them, I run back and forth through them for a few seconds then continue on my walk to my car. I get to my car and scavenge through my pockets to find my keys. It takes me a minute, but I find them and open my car door hopping in. I try to start my car up, but it seems i'm out of gas. I get back out of my car and slam the door harder than usual because my frustration keeps getting bigger and bigger. I walk back into the store I walk in to find my boss. \"Maybe he can help me\", I think in my head. Well I was wrong. I desperately ask him if he has any gasoline in the store that he can let me use for my car. He looks at me and says, \"your shift is over, go home.\" I stare at him angrily. He doesn't seem to care... I storm out of the store angrier than when I walked in. Luckily, there's a gas station a few blocks away from the store, so I decide to go there. About half-way along the walk to the gas station, I see something. Its a tree further down a valley on the side of a road. The only reason it caught my eye was because of how it was the only tree in this valley. Already knowing the rest of my day is ruined, I decide to go look at this tree. Once I get closer, it seems to get bigger. I come closer to the tree, eventually lying my hand on the rough bark... I hear a voice say, \"hello.\" I turn around immediately thinking I would see someone, but no one is there... I suspiciously fully turn around then sit down, lying my back against the tree, wondering if the voice was just the wind, until I hear it again, but this time it says something different... It says, \"why are you ignoring me?\" A little scared now, I push my self off the ground and yell out, \"is anyone there?\" The mysterious voice says, \"look in back of you.\" I turn to find the tree that I was just lying on... In my head i'm thinking that this is just a bunch of kids playing a joke, but the voice says, \"come closer.\" I walk closer to what I think is talking... the tree. \"lie your hands on me\", the tree says. Amazed, I rest both of my hand on the trees bark. The tree tells me that it knows how I feel. It tells me its also ignored and alone... alike to me. I ask no questions of how it knows i'm alone and ignored... My hands are still on this tree with my eyes closed listening to it, until I feel something unusual, I open my eyes to find this green sort of slime on me. I quickly back away from the tree and yell out, \"what is this?!\" The tree is silent. I ask again, \"what is this?!\" The tree is silent. I try wiping the slime off in the ground, but my hands stick to the ground. I yell out again, \"what have you done?!\" The tree is silent. While struggling to get my hands off the ground, I can see this slime is climbing up my arms. I try screaming for help but i'm too far away from the road now... The slime creeps down my shirt and is eventually covering my whole body, except for my face. The tree finally says, \"we can finally not be alone.\" I struggle to say, \"what do you mean?!\" The tree replies with, \"we can both be trees\" I blankly stare at the tree before the slime covers the rest of my face.

Now I just watch cars drive by up the valley on the road...
