I am that?
A trinket tossed under the bed.
My memory lingers in your beating heart; don't be ignorant.
You remember me, for how can you forget?
A breathing soul lost under your lies.
A loving existence pierced with more than a dagger.
Malice can shatter bones,
Evil can draw blood,
Though you kill with words.
Tugging at a string you start,
Thriving on the weak.
Feeding on the fear you exposed,
All the insecurities you may indulge in.
I was the first, soon to be the last,
As the guilt hollows your body,
From the inside out.
You'll be rotting as I am now,
Eyes sockets festering with the gloom of death.
Though you shall be forgotten, cast aside,
I may linger in memory,
As they all remember what you have done.
As they saw that corpse laying in the shallow hole of a grave,
Wishing, hoping, praying to forget what has been seen.
