A little pool near the tree
That wakes up in the rainy seasons,
With lichen, frogs and such tiny beings
A source of children’s joys.

Gangs of children like rebellions
Flock, and throw stones at the frogs
And the little creatures hide in lichen
Alas! We enjoyed in their pathos.

Repentance abound in remembrance,
What a suffering! – an attempt to feel
But, the ‘time’ and ‘joys’- an inheritance
In procession of the bipeds.
How far will it go?

And again a flash back of memoirs
Not with pleasure, with bitterness...
To belong to that lineage.
And regret
To think, how far will it flow?
And who shall be the last to inherit?
