And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:24, 25). Many will tell you in the Christian world today that it is impossible to not fulfill the will of the flesh. How can that be if we are to crucify the flesh? Anything written in the Word is not optional, it is a commandment. We are to walk in the Spirit of God, and if we do we will not fulfill the worldly desires. It is simple, but people are stubborn in this world and want their own way.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall not perish, and neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand (John 10:28). This is one of the main verses that those that believe in unconditional eternal security use for their belief. All of hell or the whole world could come against you and your salvation will be in tact, but your own willful sin can remove you. Jesus in no way here implied sin would get by in getting to Heaven.
Many people are deceived because they dip into the Word of God and pull out what they want, what suits them. They choose the verses they can twist and base a doctrine on it. That will not work with God.
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance (Luke 15:7). Jesus was telling a parable of a lost sheep. Now, if one can’t be lost after being saved, why did Jesus say ninety-nine did not need repentance? It is because they were sin free. Again I say, use common sense when reading the Word of God, it will get you a long way in understanding it.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6). Everyone was born into sin, but Isaiah foretold of the Cross fifteen hundred years before it happened. Jesus bore the sins of the world that we may follow the Good Shepherd. We must repent with godly sorrow; we must be just as sorry that we sinned as God is.
You can’t get into Heaven the way you, family, or church feels is the way. The only way is the Jesus way. Many people think they know, but really don’t. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12). Many are in hell today that thought they were on their way to Heaven. Just for someone to say they are going, doesn’t mean they are.
For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls I Peter 2:25). All humanity is wondering in sin until they find the Bishop, the Keeper of their souls. One must walk with the Keeper to get into His Heaven.
You want the definition for sin? It is right there in the Bible. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin (James 4:17). If you know what is wrong and do it anyway, you have sinned against God.
If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance (Leviticus 5:15a). Notice, God said sin through ignorance. God is a just God, but very few are ignorant of what sin is today.
Many of the once saved always saved believers state that once one has been converted from a goat to a sheep, they can’t be changed back. How ignorant is that? It is just as easy if one sins for them to be changed back to a goat. You have to have consistency with the Word of God.
This is just the beginning of this study. I have many scriptures that discredit sinful living Christianity. The churches today do not take the highway of holiness that is right down the middle. They either go the route of fanaticism: The running down aisles, speaking in tongues at will; or they go the path of modernism: dead services with no miracles for they have denounced the Power of the Holy Ghost. If they cannot explain it, then it is of the devil. It is sad how most Christians give the devil more power than God.
I will continue this, don’t know how many have read it nor do I worry about it. You will never convince everyone of the truth, most won’t believe. I just want to give the opportunity so no one has an excuse.
