I will continue with the final part with the Churches of Revelation. And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels (Revelation 3:1-5).

This church had been putting up a front, but had no real power with God. They were hypocrites professing something they did not have. If anyone tells you they have great power with God, yet have not sacrificed, flee! They are liars for God does not freely give power without sacrifice, with the exception of salvation.

This passage states your name can be blotted out of the Book of Life. The over comers are clothed in white, clothed in righteousness. What did they overcome? They overcame the world and its sins.

You can’t be of Christ if you stop believing in His mission, in the Gospel He brought. If Jesus had stopped believing in His mission He would have lost For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels (Luke 9:26).

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown (Revelation 3:10, 11).

Jesus here meant when He comes it will be quick, all of a sudden. He will not come all the way to earth, but will be waiting in mid air for the Saints to meet Him. You must hold fast to the good things so you will be ready.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Revelation 3:12, 13).

If you have kept the Word of His patience, you have eternal life. There are only two choices; you have eternal life in your soul or eternal death.

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (Revelation 3:14-16).

I must first explain lukewarm for many are deceived as to what it means. I have heard it said it is when one is in and out with God, not so. If you are out with God you are backslidden, plain and simple. Lukewarm is when one is saved and sin free, but are not on fire for God. They don’t fast, pray, and live in the Word.

Jesus let’s us know that only those that are on fire for God are in the mouth of God. Where did he spew the lukewarm Christians? Into the Tribulation Period they will go.

When you are on fire for God you have an appetite for Him. It helps to turn your back on the world. When you get saved you should say good-bye to the world and all it has to offer. Good-bye to its music, its degrading films, its degrading habits and all those that partake of them. You will either be on fire for God in this hour or be left. I know that is straight talk but the hour for beating around the bush is over, people must be told right before they are left.

How do you say you love Jesus if you listen and watch that which degrades your Lord and Savior? How will you know you are Rapture ready? If Jesus knocked at your door you would not have to get your house in order, you could let him in without delay. If not, you aren’t ready.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see (Revelation 3:17, 18).

In verse seventeen it explains many in the world today. Many celebrities think they have it all. They go to their parties and rub elbows with others just like them and brag about this and that, many bragging about whores they have laid up with, and think they have it all. If they could see into God’s mirror they would see a person poor in spirit and their minds. Many of them act happy and are in a constant state of depression and on their way to hell. Yet, some of you will be envious of these people, even to the point of nearly idolizing them. You have no reason to envy them unless you want an eternity in hell without God.

You really need to take the time and study the Church and how it began. The Church of Jesus Christ backslid as a whole, but for thirty-three years he they lived in grace; later falling into disgrace. The denominations were not the plan of God; it was man’s opinions that started them. When man’s opinions tangle into the Word of God you will find a dead cold church.

Later, Emperor Constantine recognized Christianity because it had become popular and Constantine wanted to be in control. If you go somewhere where the world loves you, GET OUT! There is a famous “preacher” who has a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. If you are on fire with God’s truth you will not please most people and you just as well to face that. Your own family will despise you. I don’t want a star down here on a walk; I want my name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life never to be removed. One day that Walk of Fame will be destroyed, but the Saints won’t.

If it had not been for a few faithful Christians, the Church would have fallen into total darkness. There were a few that kept the Gospel Light burning, thank God for them.

A great warning is in the Book of Revelation, For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book (Revelation 22:18, 19).

Then people think I am too strict with the Word of God. Yes and proud of it. I will not add my opinions to the Bible no matter what state I am in with Him. I will not take from it either. So many people have been judged and are in hell today for twisting the Word of God to their own damnation.

No good promise will be yours if you backslide; there is nothing from God for the unrepentant backslider but judgment. The names in the Book of Life are penned in divine Blood and will remain there through obedience.

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer (Revelation 10:5, 6).

One day time will cease; money or fame won’t stop it from happening. The choice is up to every one whether it is Heaven or hell.

Jesus came and showed us how to be obedient as a man And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8). Since Jesus gave His life for our salvation, we have no excuse for sin at all.

A fountain was opened at Cavalry through Emmanuel’s veins. Salvation was purchased by the blood. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's (I Corinthians 6:20).

When divine blood is in a soul it has eternal life in it, but sin and eternal life cannot and will not dwell together.

Just as Jesus ascended to Heaven the Bride will rise in the Rapture. It doesn’t take long to get to Heaven, just one step and you could be in eternity.

Consider the truth, power and depth of God’s feelings contained in the letters to the Churches in the Book of Revelation. The Lord does not excuse sin. The Lord does not excuse lukewarmness. The Lord accepts nothing less than first love.

The Lord has great mercy and love. He offers forgiveness to those who recognize their failure and repent with godly sorrow. He also offers them opportunity to have first love.

Jesus had that first love toward the Father. They had devotion, fellowship and reality of that great love. How could God be satisfied with anything else?

As Children of God the same love is made available to them. It’s not a different love. Through the blood of Jesus you are to be sons and daughters of God For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17).

Where is there room for lukewarmness? Can you imagine Jesus with lukewarmness? All that was available to Jesus is available to us if we reach out in holiness.

God gave His Son Jesus so that we could have first love. When you consider the price the Lord has paid, you will understand the depth of his hatred for a lukewarm spirit and you will recognize the priceless treasure of first love.
