I wrote this when I felt really down and out and how a simple mirror helped me to be a better and more important me.

The Mirror

I look into the mirror and I see the reflection of a man I could be, should be and want to be. I keep trying to be something that I want the world to see I want to be a member of this thing we call society. Rejected and turned down with not a care left in this world but then I look back in the mirror and I see a face smiling back at me tell me to keep pushing towards the man I will turn out to be. I do not let the negative words inside my head keep me down. I look in the mirror and see a happy, healthy me, a me who is all my own and not what everyone thinks a person should be.
