As I cautiously and slowly walked down the dark musty corridor the shadows on the walls seemed to dance and move with lightning speed. I heard slight chilling whispers pass by me and continue going on. I shuddered at the cold breezes that passed making my hair move even when I was completely sealed by walls in this place. Dirt and dust covered the floor and would swirl in the air as I walked by. Spiderwebs hung in corners and would sway as if an invisible force were blowing on them. The big stone blocks that made up the entire corridor were worn and cracked. It looked like it would collapse at any moment. Twists and turns winded to who knows where as I tried to get out of this labyrinth. Little scurrying sounds came from the stone walls and I heard distant flapping. How did I get in here in the first place? Lets see I had woken up to find myself in the middle of one of these dusty corridors. I kept walking trying to figure out how to get out of this place when up ahead I saw a door. A door! I started running toward it with hope. I stopped at the door. It was made of old rough stone and had spiderwebs hanging off the handle. I held my breath as I turned the knob wishing that it wasn't locked. Yes! The door slowly crept open. I walked into the pitch black room. I heard a bang behind me and turned to find the door locked. I tried frantically to open it again. I gave up and turned with my back pressed firmly up against the door. I stared into the pitch black room. I heard whispers and laughing. A cold breeze swept over my face and it felt like a hand. Suddenly a torch lit up and I could see it hanging on a pillar. Other torches lit up and soon it was like dominoes. Once all the torches lit up I stood in a gigantic throne room. All of the torches hung on pillars that made a half circle in front of me. At the far end of the room facing the door stood a gold throne. It would have been pretty if it weren't for the dead corpse that lay on top of it. Suddenly the corpse sat up. I stared at it in horror. A blood red glow came from the eye sockets and I saw what looked like a ball of blood red fire in each socket. The corpse stood up and started to walk slowly towards me. It wore a moth eaten, ripped, ragged black cloak. The hood was down so I could see the almost bald head. He had a few strands of brown hair on top of his head. The skin was falling off and it revealed the skull. Its jaw was pushed out of place and now was at an odd angle. Chunks of skin were missing from the corpse's face and more fell off as he made his way over to me. His clothes underneath the cloak were ripped and torn. His skin hung loosely on the yellowed bones. When he got closer I could smell the rotten decaying smell that he gave off. I gagged as the smell overwhelmed me. He reached out a decaying hand to me. I looked at it. The skin was falling and hung on the yellowed bones. His flesh was turned into a sickening whitish greenish color as it decayed. Worms and bugs crawled freely from his mouth, nose, and ears. I stood there horrified and to scared to move. I tried to scream but couldn't. His icy cold fingers wrapped around my neck. The floor opened up behind him and was pitch black. He started to back up. He let go of my neck and grabbed my ankles since he was now descending into the darkness below. He pulled me off my feet and started to drag me down. I finally found my voice and started to scream bloody murder. I clawed frantically at the floor as I was dragged farther down.

We finally found the place where she had gone. We followed the footprints in the dust for hours. Finally we came to a door. Hoping to find her there we went inside. We found a beautiful room lit by torches. A disgusting corpse lay in a golden throne. We noticed something on the floor. There were two long groups of five lines that were carved into the stone. Suddenly the corpse sat up. The floor opened up in front of us where the mysterious lines had suddenly disappeared. We saw more lines going down into the darkness. We quickly ran out of the room and got out of that place as fast as possible. Now we know what happened. That corpse had dragged her down into that darkness and she had tried to stop him by using her fingernails to catch hold of the stone. So practically she wedged her fingernails into the stone and dragged them along as she was pulled down into the blackness. Suddenly we heard a blood curdling scream come from within the labyrinth. Unfortunately there was nothing that we could do to save her.
