WHINE
No soothing music can heal my soul tonight
No words of hope can mend my broken heart,
No chocolate box, no bright colors can make me smile
Nothing in the world can bring me warmth.
I feel ashamed, I feel afraid
I feel a twitching pain,
For all the things I have lost
And for all the things I never gained.
My eyes are such an unfaithful place
They well up tears determined to soak my face,
But each time these tears crawl upto the brim
The eyelids close hard and push them deep within;
And one-two drops notorious than manage to pass
Are quickly swept away by my hands harsh.
As the world moves whizzing past
Working, talking, winning lots,
I sit here repenting and whining
With a pen in hand and;
A mind full of useless thoughts.
