I hate the nonspecific use of the word they. And yet, I use it so many times in this poem. Who are they in this poem? No bloody idea.

They say home is where the heart stays

But what if home is nowhere?

They say a lover's breath is all I need

But what if I come home and you're not there?

Thay say your love is my crutch

But what if you have no love to share?

They say I'm a fool for the tears I've shed

But what if you love my cries?

They say love is like a flower

But what if the flower dies?

I no longer care what they say

Because they say lies
