I’m out for the hunt

To feed the kids and wife

I’ll feed everyone, even the runt

Cut with claws as if with a knife

Now I’m ready to pounce

And I’m ready to kill

Analyzing my target, every little ounce

It’s juicy, plump, not run of the mill

I strike with a roar

Pain engulfs me to the bone

When the metal reaches into my core

I scream and cry, shout and moan

These creatures, they’re surrounding me

They’re smiling, grinning, cheering

“We have a big one today, fellas, don’t we?”

They say standing over me leering

Carried and tied by my knotted feet

Defeat? Can’t retreat. I feel I’ve been cheat

We enter through a door

Into the house of horror

I see bodies of rotting meat

Each hanging by a rusty hook

I only could take a glance, a painful look

Before the bad masked man took his seat

He covered my head with a leather sack

Muzzled me with a freakish knickknack

I heard the draw of the grim silver knife

These demons were going to take my life

They took my soul, my meat, and my pelt

Cut through my middle and side

I couldn’t whine, and I couldn’t yell

That, my friends, was how I died
