If I do not return to your room
It is nothing personal
It will not be as if a womb
that is empty- nor a slave
that is free- I am object lesson
take away all signs and forms
take away my tongue
They mean nothing- they signify nothing
I can not speak nor mummer
hum nor scream nor purr
In this silence that surrounds you
Take another puff of your cigarette
Let the smoke swirl to the ceiling
Forget me -for I am less than
memory or meaning or time
I have no name- your hand
has not touched mine
Your mouth nor other parts
have not probed
any of my orifices nor orbs
When you arise from your bed
When you close your eyes to sleep
I am not poem nor dream nor thought
I am not empty nor incomplete
I am not naked nor satiated
starving nor whole
I am but another wave upon the shore
another opening or closing of the door
another screw which holds in
the non dimensions of your being
no meaning nor realization
it is all the same
Capitalistic
grain of sand
particle of salt
coin in pocket
locket of hair
refraction from the mirror
It is neither obscure nor clear
Each seed each ride each idea
Which enters or exits you
Propaganda
in waste or in fine taste
it is not me nor you nor us
Promises
drops of rain that fall
colors of a rainbow
glass half empty or full
I am no single needle that pricks
your thumb and leaves a crimson stain
no body riddled with bullets
to hide or retain
For there is no thread to hold us together
No book to open
no message to be read
No story to build or unbuild
No idea to disturb
No button nor knob to turn
The screen off or on
No music to listen to
No lips to kiss
no fluids to piss
You neither pass nor fail
There is no body to penetrate
nothing to love or hate
just another object lesson
just another wave
