A glass of so sweet, delicious, lemonade. Dew drops of this precious substance fall to join the rest of all the small drops in a giant pool of lemonade. There is one however, who is going quite slow compared to the rest. The drop is the last to fall, and in fact, seems to be resisting. Yes, he, I will just say he, is resisting to falling towards everyone. He is scared, not wanting to get rid of his identity. Everyone now knows him as a drop of lemonade, but with everyone else it is just a glass of lemonade. He will not be special, and will be forgotten if he falls. All drops look up to see this drop of lemonade resisting. They do not taunt or make any noise, they know it doesn't make a difference of what they do. He will never stay. He will join them, and nothing can stop this from happening. The forces of gravity crush the little dew of lemon, dragging him farther to his fate. He pleads, begs, and even cries, but the forces of gravity will not listen to him. They do not care. He will go down to join the others. The little drop stopped! He stopped right at the edge, with part of him touching the others. Now though, he realizes that this cannot last forever. With part of him in, he realizes that it is so much easier to just be with the rest of the drops, and that resisting is only causing hardship for himself. In sadness, he says goodbye to his former self, as he lets go of the glass and falls into the delicious pool of lemonade. He gives up, and allows himself to lose his identity for the easiness of being with the others. He will never be the same again. Who knows what would have happened, had he tried just a little longer.
