8 haikus

cold breeze awakens
yellow forest is below,
standing on a cliff

drifting log in pond
grey sky reflects on surface,
orange leaves float on

bright yellow leaves float
on a grey calm pond,
the grass is muddy

branches are naked
they twist, turn into grey sky
starting its slumber

cicadas buzzing
dry dead tan rough grass,
the sun beats down heat

flowers open up
purple decorates roadside,
green is returning

white, black cover all
soft wet flakes float gently down,
the ice glistening

smell of pine and oak
sticky sappy tree branches
sound of running stream
