Reality check –

 

When am I me?

When I'm alone I'm who I want to be

When I'm dreaming I'm who I wish I could be

When I'm with friends I'm sympathetic, empathic and emulating

 

I do as I'm told, I act as others see fit

 

My moves are not my own,

My passions designed and bestowed unto me

My speech repeats what others say

My silence hides things for which I'm ashamed

 

Is my shame my own?

Do my tears flow freely?

Should I believe what I say or what I think?

Who is me?
