You Watched Me Die
Pinned down by – anger, confusion, fear, sadness, grief, and sorrow.
Denial eats through me.
Depression and hatred course through my burning veins.
I turn to you as death sets in.
Salty tears stream from my broken eyes.
Crooked thoughts spin webs through my tangled mind.
Whispery echoes seep from my burdened ears.
Ghost soft whispers smash into cluttered walls.
Ricochet like piercing bullets
A single tear drips from my tainted chin.
Falls and is captured by the bloody floor.
Blood pooled at my feet.
Travels up my leg, stains my clothes, skin, and hair.
Broken finger nails bite into tattered flesh.
The knife falls from my ragged heart.
Soundless screams rip through deafening silence.
Bleeding lungs cry out.
I turn to you as death sets in.
No more tears escape my blood shot eyes.
Crumpled and sagged my body hits the bloody floor.
Mirrors and lights illuminate your horrified face.
You watched me die.
