MAYFLY MOON

Copyright © Victor Darnell Hadnot

.

Oh Lord Jesus Christ how healing is your love

The spangling snow like sweet music sounds

Pale midnight waters kiss and lifeless sinners

For God has given us hope in our hour

Plump and gray happiest grasshoppers noiselessly travel home

The harvest yet summons music enthusiast a nightingale

For lost are those who love only the world

Maiden’s dream’s a stain delightful sound the bosom

Every colored glory the crafty wily antics race divine to secure

When listening south dimly the alter a palace gate windless air

A silence comes like a thought fades in the noon

Upwards bend couchant’s tiger sharp crackle

The hills harvest fields their chilly frugal bees

As God’s love will heal even the most love sick mayfly moon

Yell to the stars and tell them about God’s glory

Preach to your children of how Jesus Christ is King

Find peace on Earth for it is never too soon

For the hope of salvation

Upon a torrid tomb
