A Gloom in the Corner

?

To feel alone is a sad thing and nobody really knows

Whether at school, work or anywhere, lonesome grows

?

It doesn’t matter if people are close by, this ache is often there

You feel like the only person, down so low with no one to care

?

You just want to shout, "Hey, I need a good friend to lift me!"

But alone is quiet, ever still, one empty corner left to be

?

Alone is chilling, a lost gloom feeling that takes over the day

There can’t be bright, happy events since skies are dismal gray

Yes, a very dark cave until the precious sun comes to shine

Love is that light to comfort the heart, life is good, life is fine!

?

Thank heavens, there’s someone who shares love, sticks around

For many, together is special joy, the sweetest loving sound!

Happiness is a warm companion, a true love for life!
