Many Choices

In a beautiful kitchen, well dressed mom turns to Jade and Josh

"What would you like for breakfast kids?" They wonder.

"Ah, what do we have ?" Jade asks, looking at silk flower blinds

"Well, there’s a variety of cereal, porridge, juice, bagels, muffins,

eggs, ham, sausages, waffles, fruit bars, yogurt, strawberry shakes, Nanna’s peanut butter cookies, peach squares, raisin date loaf and last night’s apple turnovers!" The children still wonder.

Choices, choices, many choices to eat, we have plenty but not for the hopelessly poor, wretched, sick people

Their world is cold, bare and fearful

It’s just black and white, no frills, no beautiful kitchen, no menu list to choose from

Nothing at all

Quietly, sadly, they have no choices.
