While this is meant to be a poem, it reads like a story. This is a poem about a character of mine who’s parents died in a war.

His parents were dead,

They had fought,

But they had lost,

A pony had cared for him,

It was he that she lead.

Through the woods they had gone,

Pony carrying human baby,

Past the river they went,

And on to the village,

They kept going on through the dawn.

A stranger had raised him,

Luccardo was his name,

He was a kind man,

He cared for the baby as though it was his son,

The boy grew strong and wasn't dim.

The boy who was once alone,

He met a pretty girl nobody liked,

The two became friends,

And many adventures they had together,

Now there was no reason left to moan.
