This was a random poem I wrote during class on my spare time and I really like it. I'm definitely interested to hear what people have to say about it :)

Gasping for air,
The musky odor seeming to grate my lungs,
As I fumble through this dark place,
A dark tunnel?
Gasping for air,
Tripping and cutting myself,
Tears choking in my throat,
As I heaved myself up again and again.
Gasping for air,
Deranged enough to claw at my neck and ribs,
Skin catching in my gritty nails,
As I found the stairs and gasped in relief.
Gasping for air,
Running and falling up the stairs,
Before sniffing loudly and crawling up slowly,
Each moment more torturous than the last.
Gasping for air,
That some demonic god seems intent to tear from me,
As I make it to the top,
Only to scrape the metal border of a chamber door.
Gasping for air,
Attempting to fill my lungs so that I can scream,
So that someone can find me,
Though no air can find its way to me.
Gasping for air,
Was the last thought I did think,
Before I collapsed at the doorway to nowhere,
My body collapsing and my mind far gone.
