The sun shines relentlessly.
somewhere a baby is being born
and someone's getting a speeding ticket
Children are grappling with long division
and gazing longingly at the classroom clock
A mother smiles as her baby
splashes her in the tub
Somewhere, someone is admiring their
beautiful brand-new house
and someone is learning to drive
Everything is how it should be except-
There is one person who won't be
walking, talking, eating, breathing, crying
and to me, it seems like the whole
world should stop and mourn for her
They always say,"she didn't suffer",
but how do they know for sure?
because the suffering she left behind,
in my tiny little space in the world
is unbearable
