A picture hanging on the wall, it’s from her early days

A strand of her hair falling on her wrinkled face

There’s not a day I don’t miss those warm old days

Still can’t believe she just left like that…

She always found a way to turn around my sorrow

I keep wishing she would just come back tomorrow

Cause I miss her presence everyday

If she could just come back, I have a lot to say

She’s one of the reasons I pray, she’s there in my prayers

If I could just see her and the moment would stay

It hurt me to the core, but god still took her away

If I could, if I could just have a say

And cry till the pain would just go away

But those around ask me to stay strong

Now that she is gone for so long

I would always remember her like my heart’s song

She was the sun, and I miss the bright soothing rays

My Grammy had always been perfect in her own way

And I wish if she could come back, if she could forever stay

As I see her picture from her early days…
