My Best friend was the best thing that ever happened to me and when she left I couldn't speak to her for years.

She up and flew away one day,

I couldn't tell you when.

She never said goodbye,

Well not to me.

Did we both want more,

you were my safest part,

my spark when everything went dark,

my net from any height to fall,

when I was broken you made me stand tall.

She meant more to you than I did then,

wish I could turn back time

and play it again.

"Dont you want to talk to me?"

She said to a silent caller.

I miss everything I was to you,

I couldn't even swallow.

And I told her I was busy and she heard a dial tone.

Couldn't stand the thought of telling her,

she'd left me all alone.

So again she flew away,

last we spoke, you have a husband

and I never knew such depth of love

than what we had together.

No lips had touched,

just pure and safe

no one ever meant that much.

Couldn't stand the thought of losing her

and so she'll never know.
