More of a song than poetry.

Once thought that we could last forever,

then I could see we'd not be forever together.

You were words to every song that I could write,

even when the words were parts of our fights.

You were the notes on the guitar that I never ceased to play,

those notes to replace the words I always ceased to say.

You were what I could say gave me my wings,

made me go so high I'd avoid everything.

You were once but not again,

just like a short trend.
