Whatever happened
To grace through pain
Asingle life
An impossible name

Some said he had a claim
To an incredible fame
Yet, it was only
A single life
An impossible name

A crown of thorns
A robe of crimson
Dyed with his blood
So that we could be loved
Possibilities changed
A single life
An impossible name

The crown he wore
His robes they tore
His life given
So we could live in
A love unchanged
By race or age
A single life
An impossible name

Pushed on
Pushed up
But willingly he took
Our sins our burdens
with a love so certain
A single life
An impossible name

The gift he gave
The sinners he saved
Alone in a cave
A single life
An impossible name

Shoved out and hated
Revenge he never tasted
Only given to love
In a world of hatred
A single life
An impossible name

My cross he took
My life he shook
He took my name
He took my blame
A single life
An impossible name
