Death is a place

The mask is a face

Wanting to erase

Life for real

Holding back

Emotions guarded

A heart departed

An empty shell

That is never full

Walks around

Truth can’t be found

Governed by the norm

Confined to a form

Society dictates

Our life and our traits

Break out I say

Break out I pray

Find your own way

Speak the truth

Even if it hurts

Don’t hold back

Just let go

Let everyone know

You are who you are

They can’t tell you no

Be the real you

The one you know is true
