The feeling of numbness

Creeps across her face

The child who once felt something

Is now completely erased

There is only pain

There is only fear

There is nothing else anywhere

The gut wrenching fear

Grabs hold of her

She believes perhaps

That she isn’t really there

Her heart grows cold

It stops

She stares

There is only pain

And darkness everywhere

Where am I she screams

And falls to her knees

But the eerie silence

Gives her no answers it seems

The fear comes

Griping

Tripping

Stripping

Pulling at her face

Telling her she has been erased

Forgotten

Unloved

By any

Even the one above

Silent she sits

And them begins to cry

For there is now no reason

To live and not die

There is no pleasure only pain

Now she only wishes to gain

A sleep that lasts forever

And holds no shame
