Her feet follow the sillhoutte of the moon,

No reason, just impulse compells her to pursue,

Thoughts trickle through her mind, but evaporate like the wind,

One direction.

Her only thoughts are on the moon

The silver sickle moon.

*

The shimmering bridal train guides her every movement

Conducting her through puddles and ditches,

Hills and troughs, but her soul is absent

Just one with the moon

The silver sickle moon

*

She arrives at a cliff, faces the moon,

Spreads her arms, closes her eyes and exhales,

The ocean throws itself against the foot of the cliff

The wind whistles a song of admiration

For her, and the silver sickle moon

*

She gazes at the moon

God's beautiful creation

Cold breath clouds her face as the frosty air seeps in

She just stares, in awe of thebeauty

Andpower this moon seems to hold

The stars bow down

The tides obey

The night light of time

The tanslater of light

The silver sickle moon

*

Memories prick her mind,

Forcing her to remember,

the burden the world has put on her small frail shoulders

Her only escape

Her only comfort

Her only refuge

Lies in the silver sickle moon.

*

Before she leaves this earth to be with the lord

Beforethe pending illness swipes her life

She just had to get one last glimpse

And show her Value

For the one and only

single sickle moon.
