my freshman year i was in a class called Oral Interpretation. a friend of mine did a Dramatic Interpretation called The Day The Voices Stopped. it was about a schizophrenic. i enjoyed it a lot so i tried to write a poem about it. well it didn't turn out EXACTLY like i'd hoped but i hope you enjoy it nonetheless

so real these voices in my head/ i wake up screaming/ i'm scared/ and lonely/ drowning/ burning/ suffocating/ a needle of cyanide/ a cup of gasoline/ a bullet of lead/ just end this pain/ make it all go away/ i trusted you/ i believed in you/ you were my platform/ and you abandoned me/ i have no use for the truth/ all it makes me do is loose/ you let me down/ you broke me down/ so i'll take another pill/ fall into another bottle/ watch my blood run down my arms/ and let my tears stain the floor/ you see/ i lost my mind my myself/ but it was you that broke my heart
