She stood coldly alone
In the vast forests clearing
Only hearing
The footsteps of a majestic stag grazing

As she shivered from the cold yet refreshing feel
That the winters rain had given her
As her pale skin shone as it lay wet

Her blonde hair was soaked darker
But still as enchanting as her vast blue eyes

As the rain fell from the trees
Once more touching her skin
Yet she did not fear those clean pure droplets

They reminded her of those soft kisses and the gentle touches
Of a once approved and much admired hero and lover

Yet every single moment of every waiting hour
She was reminded in the mists of her tortured mind
That he fell nobly in battle long ago
Never to return to hold her again

So for forever it seems
In the daylight hours and her nights dreams
She wonders the vast winter forests of our land
In turmoil and pain

Seeing cruel brief glimpses of him
Living whole as one again
On the day before he was cruelly slain

So as she still roams and wanders on
Captivatingly pure and perfectly nude
Amongst the forests vast dark shadows
Perhaps the evil spirits who lurk amongst the dark trees
Are the ones to blame?
