A fun little poem I wrote. I would've listed it under "romance" but I have a feeling that it most people wouldn't take it how I wanted them to (as in romantic tales of knights instead of romance as in lovey-dovey stuff). I guess this would really be kind of anti-romance, because no one writes odes to the Black Knight, it's always to the heroes! Enough of my rambling and on to the poem, eh?

Midnight-black my stallion

My armor blacker still

Bloodsharde my sword

Unsheathed for the kill

What ho, yon hero!

Cross my bridge, I dare thee

Will your valor and honor

Save you from me?

Come now, white knight!

Now is your chance!

You bring a shield

But I bring a lance!

You come to save this maiden?

You seek my end?

She is your lover

But death is MY friend!

This is is your hero?

This unworthy foe?

I am his doom!

I mock your woe!

I could have been your hero

WIth your heart all but won

But, Maiden, being the

Black Knight is just too fun
