Summary

This is a sort of "sequel" to another poem I wrote titled "The Black Knight." This poem is from the good guy's point of view as he stares down his rival on the bridge. There will likely be at least one more poem following this one as well

How dare thee mock me

And my chivalrous ways

You are most vile

You pestulent knave!

Your Bloodsharde

Cannot my shield rend

Come now, Black Knight

Let's put this to an end!

She is my love

Unhand her at once!

Were I your schoolmaster

I would make you a dunce!

I will take no pride

When I best you in battle

Charge me, Black Knight

And end your prattle!

When this is over

The maiden let loose

Perhaps my king will spare you

From his dreaded noose!

Oh Black Knight!

Your treacherous ways!

You bring a black dragon!

With a crimson gaze!

I feel no fear

For I will impart

A golden arrow

For the beast's heart!
