She use to not have a voice
She was too scared to speak
But God gave her choice
Of no longer being weak

She use to flinch at the menacing eyes
They were filled with so much hate
You have now idea how much she cries
She doesn’t know why she deserved such a cruel fate

They don’t see the fear she hides behind her eyes
They don’t know she’s not okay
Because the only thing she speaks are lies
And they move on like any other day

They don’t know that her heart is broken
She doesn’t want them to know about the scars
They don’t know why she hasn’t spoken
As she continue looking at the stars

Dreams became her escape from reality
From the taunting words and pain
And later that year she end her suffering and was buried underneath her favorite tree
She nourished the ground and helped the angels pour out the rain

Her parents stand by her grave giving a silent prayer
Asking themselves where they went wrong
They didn't see the ripple in the air
As they tried to remain strong

The daughter stood beside them watching the pain cross their face
She never knew how much they would suffer and cry
And remind her now of her spot at the table is now an empty place
And if she took it back, tell them the truth of why she wanted to die.

Maybe just maybe they would understand
That there was no escape from him, the one who terrified her, and beat her into submission
And she didn't want to die by his hand
And her took her innocence and the things that made her who she was without permission
