A poem written about a girl that was in a relationship with one of my best friends. Pent up emotions resulted in this.

A feeling burning across my mind, like a red hot poker striking at my mind,

Leaving all other senses far away and behind

You sit there, oblivious and unaware,

Not knowing that you holds my heart, in every gaze, in every stare,

My fingers lightly trail the top of your hand,

And my blood pumps freely, emotions disband

Into limitless oblivion, all throughout,

Because when the day is drawn, you are the girl that it’s all about

These feelings are so wrong, forbidden, yet true,

Whilst he still has his hold, the only one I think about, is you

When you’re in my arms, lying gentle and sound,

It feels like morning, birds singing all around

I know I can’t have you, and that hurts the most

But we shared a moment, and whilst I don’t mean to boast,

The smile that you gave me surpasses any you give him,

Our love is so wrong, yet such a beautiful sin.
