This little light of mine

I hold it still inside my mind

Keep it there far from harm

It’s my little lucky charm

It flickers and wavers still

When it does I feel the chill

Why do you easily blow it out?

You know I’ll die without a doubt

This little light it gives me life

Gives me hope in times of strife

Keeps me on my toes and feet

Walking skipping through the street

I may stumble I may fall

Cut my heart out hit the wall

But the little light will shine on through

Every day starts a new

Everyone should have a little light

Put them all together and they’ll go bright

Keep them apart and they’ll still glow

This little light is all I know
