Haunts of My Past

It is late in the midnight hour,

The scent of humidy turns my skin scape sour.

In my slumbers, my edifice is twisted,

The haunts of my past stalk my dream scape;

Jeering, cackles, and restriction,

All negative reminders of my affliction.

Then I awaken and back in reality I am nistaken,

I am safe and steadfast.

I am no longer connected to the haunts of my past.
