It is comforting to think that someone still remembers.

The sands of time
Congealed the wounds
While hands of grime
Concealed the tombs
Of Tran Nguyen
And "Tough Luck" Tom.

They squandered youth
To heed the call
Know the truth
They gave their all
For Mankind's sins
In Vietnam.

The age is now past
To sift the sands
So we've come at last
With grimy hands
Searching for pieces
Of Bone.

Of our brothers dead
In the long lost toil
We search the bed
Of jungle soil
For signs of those
Who died alone.

Our duty is clear
As we dig and sweat
For we hold dear
And never forget
The sacrifices
Of our kith and kin.

It's worth the toil
To sift the sands
And to dig the soil
With grimy hands
To bring our buddies
Home again.
