The Ocean’s music drones over me
Like a fish herein this sea
I long to be acquainted with thee
To know thou immortality

I look to shore and caverns and caves
I question of the coming day
Whilst feeling Nature’s crashing wave
Drown me as I quietly pray

And what will come to be of this
This island home of mortal bliss
And whence shall I be know this kiss
The one I have forever missed

Let it be known that I am free
If I so wish never to leave
I will stay and comfort thee
For I am borne of mortality
