Just a little part of a story I've been trying to write. It's about this girl named Isabelle Weyley, who discovers an old secrect that was kept from her since birth. She finds true love and discovers that not everything is all bad. Well, mostly everything.

“There is no way on earth that I could be one of you!” I shouted at Exavier. The black streak that was intertwined with his long, brown hair was now dangling over his eyes. The golden-brown gems that were fixed upon his face were so beautiful and pleading that it was very hard to be mad at him right now, but the things that Exavier were telling me made absolutely no sense.

“Isabelle, please listen to me. You are a Day-Wolf. Surely you’ve noticed something strange about yourself. You can run faster than anyone in your gym class, you can hear things that others can’t, and you sight should be so clear that you can see every detail in almost anything,” he explained to me. I was shocked by what he had told me. How could he have known everything about me? Well, almost everything.

“You got two out of three right. I can barely see anything. I’m so blind that I need contacts.” I told him. Exavier looked at me concerned. He didn’t know what to think about that. He came over to me and looked straight into my eyes. I had to catch my breath and hold it. I was so mesmerized by his stare that I couldn’t move.

“The eye color isn’t right either. I think I have an idea,” he said to me. “Close your eyes.”

“Why should I have to –”

“Just close your eyes.” I saw that he was being serious, so I listened. The next thing that he did nearly made me faint.

Exavier leaned forward and gently put his lips on my eye. I felt as he swept over my eyelids carefully, kissing both of them. I let out a small gasp when he pulled away from me. I stood there frozen, still in shock from what had just happened.

“Ok, you can open your eyes now,” Exavier told me. I snapped out of my frozen state and opened my eyes to find a full length mirror in front of me. I couldn’t see that well at first, and it took me a minute to realize that it was my contacts. I took them out and was surprised by how much clearer I could see than before. Everything was in perfect view. Though that wasn’t what astounded me the most.

When I looked into the mirror, I saw that my eyes had changed color. They had gone from a brilliant ever-green, to a beautiful bluish-white. I was so amazed by my eyes that I didn’t notice Exavier standing behind me. His voice startled me as he began to speak.

“Amazing isn’t it?” He asked me. He laid his right hand on my shoulder.

“H – how?” I stammered. Exavier caressed my cheek and lowered his head so he could whisper in my ear. His warm breath sent a chill down my spine.

“The kiss of a wolf’s second half may bring forth their true form, for they are mates for life. That means, when a Day-Wolf finds their life long mate, their true love, a kiss from them may reveal their true form for a short time.” He explained to me. It took me a second before I realized what he was saying.

“I love you Belle. I have for a while now.” He turned me around so that I was facing him. What did he just call me? He called me Belle. No one ever called me that since my dad died. That was his special nickname for me. When he was gone, I wouldn’t let anyone call me that ever again, not even my mom. I loved my dad too much for that.

“You called me Belle. No one has ever called me that, only –”

“Only your dad called you that. I know. I know that you never let anyone else call you Belle because you loved your dad too let them. But Belle listen, I love you just as much as your dad did, maybe even more. If you don’t want me to call you that ever again, I won’t. I just wanted you to see how much I care.” He whispered to me. He started to straighten up and take his hands of my shoulders when I stopped him.

“Wait!” I told him. I had then known the truth of the matter. I loved Exavier too. I loved him more than I had ever loved my dad.

“What?” he asked me.

“You can call me Belle.” His face began to lighten up. “And one more thing, I love you too.”

A wide smile had grown on Exavier’s face now. He was happy to hear those words from me. He came closer to me again and leaned his face towards mine. He grasped the back of my neck, my long, dark brown hair running through his fingers. Slowly his face came closer to mine. Closer and closer until out lips had finally met. He kissed me softly as he waited for my response. I kissed him back and melted into his protective arms. I could feel his tongue tracing the outline of my mouth, and I was getting nervous. I didn’t know why. I knew I loved Exavier. I loved him so much. So I gave in. It felt like magic as he kissed me so passionately. I had never felt anything like this before.

Exavier had then pulled away from me. When I looked up at him, he had an amused smiled on his face. I was confused.

“Look in the mirror. You might like what you see,” he told me as he turned me around. I had done as he said, and what I had seen astounded me to the fullest. It was still me in the mirror, but it was a different me.

My appearance had changed a lot. My eyes were still that bluish-white color, but my hair had changed too. There was a streak of color in my hair, the same as Exavier, but instead of black, it was a pure snow white. The shape of my eyes had changed into and exotic form. Much like the kind models have. My teeth had grown some, they whitened, and my canines had become wolf-like fangs. My lips had become fuller. My entire face had changed.

“Do you believe that you are a Day-Wolf now?” Exavier asked me. I looked at him with wide eyes. I hadn’t felt any of that happening while he was kissing me. It was all so strange, but still so amazing.

“Yes, I do. I don’t think I’ll ever doubt you again.” I told him. He laughed. I grinned along with him. He wrapped his arms around my waste and put his head on my shoulder. He kissed my cheek and smiled at me. I had so many questions to ask him I didn’t know where to start. But before I could, he said he had one more thing to tell me.

“Now that you truly know that you are a Day-Wolf, there is something important you should know. Belle, you come from a long line of well-respected pack leaders. You are not just an ordinary wolf like me, you are the white wolf. You were born to be the leader of the pack and be the ruler.” He explained. I was stunned. Me? A leader? There was no way. I was just a simple, shy girl that came from a small town. How could I be the leader of a pack?

“Now I know this may be confusing, but even you name says you are. Your last name, Weyley, in Celtic it means ‘wolf ruler’. I swear to you I’m not making this up.” I looked up at him, and back to my reflection in the mirror. Me as the ruler of an ancient group of wolves. The more I thought about it, the better it sounded. I knew it would be hard, but I had Exavier to help me when I needed it. It would be a long time before I could get used to the idea. I didn’t care.

My life had turned around now. I had met the love of my life, and I found out I’m the leader of an ancient clan. I knew it sounded weird, but it was my new life. And I loved it all the same.
