When you think of bravery most people think about overcoming fears or standing up to a school bully or even just telling your crush you like them. Yes that is a form of bravery but nobody really thinks about the really big bravery stories anymore, like how a 14 yearold saved a rape victim while his house was burning, or that three men swam through radioactive waters to stop a nuclear meltdown or the teens who chased a carjacker in hopes of rescuing two children. Sometimes you will think of stories like those but there's other kinds of bravery too that hardly anybody thinks about. Like when someone cries in front of someone they would've never wanted to cry in front of. Or like on thanksgiving my dad cut his finger and should've gone to the hospital but instead stayed and ate with us or like me when I texted a helpline at 3a because I was scared. Eveyone is brave at some point but might not realize it because of the way they think of bravery. If people realized that doing anything that scares you, or that could hurt you but you do it anyway to help people even if that people is yourself, THAT'S THE REAL MEANING OF BRAVERY! You're probably bored out of you're mind from reading this or because it has no action or magic faires or a mystery, but actually it does! Ok maybe not magic fairies or a mystery or action, ok it doesn't have any of that but it has something more important. It gives you a sense of self-worth, courage, and bravery!
