Joe's P.O.V

Why doesn't Jai ever notice me? I'll never know. I'm just the quiet guy, sat where he should be, at the back of the class; I always help out those who need it, I'm nice, sweet... why doesn't he want me to be his? I stare at him in every lesson we have together, I stare at him on the yard, I stare him down when he's at his house. I want him. Why doesn't he want me?

That day, I was sitting at the back of the class, drawing a picture of Yuno Gasai from Mirai Nikki, when suddenly, the teacher decided to move Jai next to me. Fun fact, his name's pronounced 'Jay', not Ja-ai. Cute, right? I felt my stomach knot all up as he sat down beside me, his lovely blonde hair sweeping slightly over one of his eyes. I rested my head on one of my hands and stared at him in awe. "What you looking at, huh, Joe?" Jai grumbled, giving me a dirty glare. I blushed.

"Nothing!" I giggled, resuming back to drawing.

"Are you drawing who I think you're drawing?" I felt my stomach drop. He knew who Yuno was? I smiled slightly and nodded.

"If you're thinking of Yuno Gasai then you're right!" I peppily exclaimed, giving him a massive smile. Jai nodded and concentrated on what the teacher was saying.

As everyone was pouring out of school, I was kept back to help a teacher gather equipment for tomorrow's science lesson. I gladly helped.
By the time I was out, the only people left in the yard were Jai and his friends, chatting away slowly while wandering out at their own pace. I smiled slightly as I brushed past him, our shoulders connecting for that one second. "Hey, Joe!" Did Jai just call for me? I spun round and faced him smiling. "Do you mind helping me out with some Maths homework? It's a little too hard for me, and since you're in top set I figured." he ended that with a pleasant smile, so I nodded on instant reaction. "Great! You can come round mine at seven. Can you make it?"

"Yes!" I shrieked, smiling ear-to-ear. Jai nodded and stopped, his friends dragging him into a conversation. I bit my bottom lip and walked ahead. I can't believe this! This is a dream-come-true! Amazing!

I burst into my house, throwing my bag onto the sofa and giggling to myself. "Why are you so happy?" my mum giggled, smiling softly at me.

"My crush invited me over to help with them with their homework." I giggled back. I didn't want to tell my mum. She would flip if she found out I was in love with a guy.

"Aw, that's great, honey. When're you going?"

"Seven, today."

"OK." I can't wait...

Jai's P.O.V

Should I regret that or not? Yeah, Joe's a great guy and all, but I swear... whenever I look over at him in any of my classes he's in, he's always ogling me. I don't know why, but I'm not going to bother questioning it. Soon after I finished getting lost in my thoughts, there was two light knocks at my door. I sprang up and opened the door to none-other-than Joe.

"Hey," he smiled, letting himself in.

"Hey." I replied, smiling slightly. He stood behind me and looked directly at me. We were the exact same height, I swear. I motioned for him to come up the stairs with me and led him into my room. "My parents are out, so you don't need to act awkward when going into the kitchen or anything." I explained, giving him a long, honest smile. I saw a sickening grin play around on his face.

"OK. So where's the papers?" Joe asked me, looking around. I frowned.

"You really believed that?" I asked him. Seeing his eyes go completely wide, I laughed. "I wanted to question you."

"Right, on what?"

"Why are you always staring at me?" that was when the awkward silence dug its way into our little talk. He kept so quiet; flickering his eyes around; and grinning.

"That's something you'll soon know the answer to," Joe murmured, licking his lips while leaning in toward me, pressing his lips against mine. I felt a blush creep up on my face, my cheeks burning, as he kissed me. When he pulled back, he was smiling. As for myself, I was breathless. I never knew he was gay, and I would've never guessed it. The silence grew longer and longer until Joe pushed me on the bed and began kissing my neck. It kind of felt great... no, no. It felt amazing

School the next day was a breeze. Due to snow around the area, there wasn't any lessons going on, just form time. Joe was in my form, so I went and sat down beside him. "Hey!" I exclaimed, smiling at him.

"Hi," he didn't face me, he was indulged in finishing off a drawing. Damn was he good at Art. I gave him a nervous smile and realized we were at the very back of the classroom. Joe always sat here. I wonder why.

Break-time. Janet Wildstaff came walking over to me, tapped me on the back, forcing me to face her, then flat-out kissed me. What the heck? I pushed her back and glared at her. "What was that for?" I asked, wiping my lips, her expression now grim. Janet was the most popular girl in school, so I guess me rejecting her was a shock to her self-esteem.

"Why don't you like me? I thought you liked me. You've been staring at me for the past eight months. Why didn't you like that?!" she stuck her bottom lip out and folded her arms, glaring at me. I kind of did like like her, but not anymore. Not when she became a bitch to everyone. At first she was nice to everyone she met, now? No. Her friends changed her.

"Get it in your thick-skull that I didn't like it and shut the hell up." I yelled at her, running away.

*Next Day*

I was reading the news on my phone and the title 'Local School Girl Murdered' came up. So I read about it... and... Janet Wildstaff came up. She was murdered? What the heck? When? She lived around my street so I saw her go into her house! What the fucking hell? Today was the same case as yesterday, so I threw my bag down beside the seat next to Joe's and shook him. "Hmn?" Joe mumbled, glancing at me.

"Did you read the news? Janet, the popular girl, was murdered brutally. It was disgusting how she was killed, I can't even begin!" Joe turned a crimson red and hung his head.

"I don't know what you're talking about." he said, resuming drawing. I peeped at what he was drawing... what the fuck? Joe was drawing some sort of skank getting her head chopped off and it lying on the floor, the murderer's face blurred out. I didn't want to ask. I frowned.

"But everyone's talking about it! You should know..." I mumbled, glaring evilly at him. I saw him drop his pencil.

"I said I don't know anything about it." Joe's voice sounded a little dark, weird and not to mention mysterious. The kind of tone a psycho would have. Wait... nah. He's too innocent to of done that sort of thing. I nodded and didn't talk to him after that. Not for a month...

*That following month*

Joe's been avoiding me. Every time I try to talk to him, he ignores me. And also, every time someone admits they like me or have a crush on me, they disappear the next day. I don't know how or why. But it's weird. I haven't concluded on who it is at all since everyone who likes me just disappears.

Eventually, I got hold of Joe. "Why are you avoiding me?" I quickly asked him. Stopping dead in his tracks, Joe turned to face me and hung his head low.

"You don't know." he murmured, his black hair covering both of his eyes. "And you never will..." he added creepily. I swallowed hard.

"Fuck's sake," Joe snapped and dragged me off into the unused part of the school, where all the abandoned classrooms are and desolate hallways lay. All put to waste. I gulped as he sat me down. A sick, twisted, malicious grin formed upon his face; he soon showed his teeth off and started chuckling slightly, then rummaged through his satchel, only to bring out a sharp butcher's knife with blood splattered all over it. "I had to show you sometime, Jai," he murmured, "I killed them, baby. You do realize you're mine and only mine, right?" I swallowed hard. Since when was Joe psychotic? Has he seriously been watching too much Mirai Nikki? I don't know. He seems honest about this all. "I've liked you for so long, Jai..." Joe added that after seizing me into a warm embrace, his knife touching my back. "You'll always be mine, no one else can have you." as he said this he backed away, then quickly pressed us both together.

"Hush," he shushed me by kissing me powerfully, his tongue sliding over my bottom lip, begging for entrance. I gave in and opened my mouth slightly, his tongue toying with my own. Was I really kissing him here-and-now after he's just admitted to being a psychotic stalker? Whatever.

The next day, I let Joe sleep over mine, and it was Saturday, so there wasn't any school to worry about. Joe wrapped his arm around my bare chest and snuggled into me, his eyes batting open slowly. He was giving me an innocent, cute smile, so I returned it. Why did he have to be so damn cute but so damn weird? I don't know.

Soon when my mum arrived home from work (she went at six to do some extra time, and it was eleven now) she gave Joe a confused smile. "Who's this?" she asked.

"A friend; Joe." I murmured, Joe's slight smile turning into a frown.

"Oh, Okay." she replied, smiling, wandering off into the kitchen, leaving me and Joe alone. He gave me a smile and led me out of the door; he wanted to go to the park so I didn't bother to argue.

As soon as we got there, it was desolate. Nothing but the stray leaves blowing around in the wind and trees stood there, plus the old swing-set and slide, plus the climbing-frame. Joe smiled at me. I didn't question what he did next... he pulled out a knife.
