Birds flutter by,

I stare at the puffy white clouds,

Making all different shapes out of them with my mind.

My thumb is stroking a piece of grass,

I wish I knew where the clouds went after they passed over my head.

Perhaps I could fly with them some day, staring down at the world below.

I smile at the thought, feeling a petal in my hand as I look down, seeing a small pale pink flower between my two fingers, and I let it go.

"Hello there." I whisper softly, smiling down at the flower as a butterfly lands on the back of my hand.

I lift my hand up to examine it, my smile widening as it flaps it's wings.

I wish that perhaps this small period of time could last forever,

So that I could sit here, frozen in time holding the beautiful butterfly in my hand.
