the quasimodiest !
There you go!
Got it in one...
Thank you, Connie ..... (love that 'excellent,' Mike!)
Hmmm probably me, but I can't make the connection with up for president. Probably being a bit thick after a hard day of using my brain
Oh. Well. See, Mitt Romney's wife was just interviewed for TV and she said of Mitt that he is 'the same wild and crazy kid' that he was, back in college. Mitt is also well-known for being a flip-flopper who takes opposite sides of any given issue on any given day and always with the bland face of one who (lies?) refuses to admit to being fickle - great quality in a nominee for USA president).
So, being the wit and punster that I am, I thought to make 'crazy' into 'quasi' is (not to put too fine a point upon it), brilliant. Now having dug myself deep into the mud I am going to clamber my way up, hoping for air.... Connie
lord, you little punster you. that one snuck up on me. i went "what the?............................oh, damn it!"
Well, that's exactly what that little pun wanted!
I liked it before "just because" but after I read your inspiration I liked it all over again. Nice!
Oh, thank you so much... I think the 'just because' warms me the most! Thanks again, Connie
ermm im missing something ..im going to go google search quasi :)
Quasi means "not quite; resembling in a way; seeming, but not actually." And it can be pronounced like Elmer Fudd saying "crazy" (cwazy). Not worth sweating over, Tracey. An idle idea that probably should've gone the way of other idle ideas. I heard Anne Romney, speaking of her husband, Mitt. To me he seems like the furthest thing from wild and crazy. So, I wrote that haiku. Silly idea, I now think. Sorry...and thanks for stopping by to read -- and comment. Kindest regards, Connie
I originally didn't "get it" either, but after your explanation, it becomes clear. Very, very clever.
yeah well i get lost in my own mind mazes and forget to attach a translation (or a map) (or anything) --- nice. glad it has even a delayed meaning hit! thanks, connie
