The Sun Doth Rise

The sun doth rise in the cold of dawn
And light the East and bring the dew
And then the day shall start anew
So all of life may the feel the warm.
The grass shall stretch from well kept lawns
And tress shall green and air shall blue
And priests shall dance among the pews
To celebrate the sun’s sojourn.
Alas! The end is all but near!
The evening marks the end of day!
The light is dim and nought is clear!
Hurry now children, end your play!
But don’t you cry and don’t you fear!
The sun is just the night away!
