A radiant sun on a glorious morning
The day comes swift and bright
Clouds floating and fluttering by
The green grass calls out
And laughter soon erupts without a doubt

Muddy feet and sweaty faces
Gliding down the slides
Cheers and squeals exude from all sides
And we run and we play
On the merry-go round day

Circling like a hunter over prey
Pushing and pulling, around and around
Faster and faster, spinning down
Blurs and blobs of black and blue
Feeling so nauseous as the turning ensues

Whirling, swirling, turbulent twists
Closed lids, hair flying
Spiraling out of control, dying
To catch a quick breath
Frightened and beginning to fret

And then sweet release
As hands unclench and drift to grass
Springing forth off the barreling mass
Reaching towards serenity
And the calm peace of grounded eternity
