Graduation season is upon us! It is a time of endings and beginnings, anxiety and excitement, but most of all, hope. This poem is for our littlest folks heading off to kindergarten, and many graduations in life to come. Enjoy!

Graduation Day

We have learned our ABCs.

We can count our 123s.

We can write our name in capital letters.

We can read a few simple sentences.

We can recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

We can recite our phone number and address.

We know how to draw and paint.

We know how to listen and share.

We help each other play.

We help each other put things away.

Today we graduate from preschool.

We put on our caps and gowns.

We wait for our names to be called.

Our families clap and cheer.

We wave and smile from ear to ear.

There’s music, flowers, and balloons.

We hug and congratulate one another too.

Everyone is so proud of us.

Memories of fun and learning stay with us.

We thank our teachers and say goodbye.

Graduation day was so much fun.

But there’s much more learning to be done.

Kindergarten here we come!

Congratulations! I'm sure that you're son will have a very bright future ahead of him.
And thank you for commenting on "She Doesn't Belong Here", even though I DIDN'T ask you to. :D (Did I ask you?)
I give you and you're son a bunch of happy wishes. (Virtual ones! ;3)
