A Prayer…

Lord, you know me better than myself

And You know how hard I try,

Yet still the Devil plies his trade

And I just can`t figure why?

I cannot count how many times

I`ve stepped from off the track,

Yet by your mercy and your Grace

Your Truth has brought me back.

I wonder what my life would be

Without You as my guide.

For not a minute passes by

When you`re not by my side.

Yet still  I stumble and I fall

Like I don`t know wrong from right.

Temptation rears its ugly head

Then I see Your guiding Light.

So here I am Lord, once again

Knees bent, hands clasped in prayer,

Thanking you with all my heart

For always being there.
